OWFC Racenight – March 10, 2012, Hayes
Our ever popular racenight will be in action on March 11, which involves 8 randomly selected horse races as well as the infamous ‘auction race’. As well as the racing their will be a free raffle for all bets made, and an opportunity to win plenty of booze by sponsoring a horse in one of the races. You also have an opportunity to win big in the evening closing auction race where the winner’s pot is usually in excess of a £200!
The football club is holding its annual race night on the 10th March, which is 2 Saturdays time. This is a great fundraising event for the club (we made over £1000 last year) along with an ideal opportunity for a team night out.
Last year, with your help as team captains, we had great success in selling horses and getting race sponsorship prior to the event. I’d like to ask for your help again this year in doing the same.
On the night there will be 8 races, each with 8 horses. Every horse can be bought for £5, and the prize if your horse wins it’s race is a bottle of port or champagne. On top of this each race can be sponsored at a cost of £10.
As I mentioned already this is an ideal opportunity for a team night out. The race night runs from approx 6.30 until 9pm so you can stay around after the game if you are at home, or shoot back to the club if you are away! Please encourage your team to have a social night out together to help support the event. If we can get at least 4 or 5 from each side attending we will make the evening a real success
